commit, submit, trust
What’s up Maven?
Here we are at the close of another workweek, so let's take a moment to reflect on the wisdom found in Proverbs 16:3. This verse offers us a simple yet profound directive: commit your works to the Lord.
Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]. —Proverbs 16:3 AMP
Whether you're in the midst of a challenging project at work, navigating the complexities of a relationship, or striving to achieve a personal goal, the first step should always be to dedicate it to God.
This means not just asking for His blessing, but genuinely submitting your endeavors to His wisdom and guidance.
It's about acknowledging that while you may have the skills or the vision, it's God who ultimately directs your steps.
The promise attached to this commitment is incredibly encouraging.
The verse assures us that when we align our plans and works with God's will, success is not just a possibility; it's inevitable.
This doesn't necessarily mean you'll achieve worldly success or gain material rewards—although that could happen.
Instead, it means that you'll find success in God's eyes, which is infinitely more valuable.
Your endeavors will bear fruit, whether it's spiritual growth, strengthened relationships, or the accomplishment of goals that serve a greater purpose.
So, as you wrap up your week, take some time to evaluate your commitments.
Are you dedicating your works to God, or are you trying to go it alone?
Are you seeking His wisdom in your decisions, or are you relying solely on your own understanding?
Make it a point today to commit whatever you're working on to the Lord.
Trust that when you do, and when you align your actions with His will, you're setting yourself on a path toward true and meaningful success.
See you on the next post Maven!
